2 residents considering a private prosecution against ex Tower Hamlets mayor Lutfur Rahman

Two Isle of Dogs residents are in the process of bringing a ‘private prosecution’ to the former mayor of Tower Hamlets, Lutfur Rahman.

According to LoveWapping, Angela Moffatt and Cathy Holmes did not like that the Metropolitan Police’s could not prosecute Luftur Rahman for corruption and dropping the case against him.

Angela Moffatt, was one of the Election Petitioners who took Lutfur Rahman to the High Court and won a judgement against him, who was in turn forced from office and banned for five years.

According to LoveWapping Moffatt and Holmes are in talks with their lawyers, the blog did not have any more details when the article was published.
