after being struck by a car which failed to stop in
Whitechapel.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) at
00:18hrs on Friday, 26 May to reports of a car in collision
with a moped on Cavell Street, E1.

Officers and the LAS attended and found a 19-year-old man
with a head injury. He was taken to an east London hospital
where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

Detectives from Tower Hamlets CID are investigating.

The driver of the car did not stop at the scene and enquiries
