A tech start up based in Mile End has received the Tech5 award for UK’s fastest growing startup in tech. Kano is a company that makes computers anyone can build from scratch. With a Kano computer kit you can build a computer and a screen and then learn to learn code and even learn to make apps.

Tech5 is an online initiative in search of Europe’s fastest growing Tech startups. Finalists are chosen by their growth rate between 2013 and 2015 based on actual revenue and employee data. Each company must offer its own scalable tech-driven product or service, be less than five years old and have revenue in excess of €200,000.

Speaking about the win, Alex Klein, the CEO and co-founder of Kano said: We’re thrilled to have won this award. We’re actually really surprised to have won this considering the calibre of the competition here tonight. We can’t wait to come to Amsterdam and appear on stage at The Next Web’s next conference.
