Dizzee Rascal spoke to America’s Vlad TV recently and discussed about being brought up in Bow, his musical influences and struggles in life.

Bow boy Dizzee, who won a Mercury award, tells his story and describes how he rose through the ranks to become a pioneer of the UK music scene.
Dizzee starts off by telling us that he was originally from Forest Gate but moved to Bow at a young age and the area was an American project/ghetto or in UK terms, housing estate.
The interviewer asks about guns, the grime star says “there’s a real gun culture out in the UK, just for those who don’t know, it’s very real” but you’re “more likely to be stabbed”.
Dizzee Rascal says in that in the USA the gun culture is different because of the “amendment or whatever” and that in the UK we’re not that gun crazy. He goes on to say that guns are looked down upon and shunned.
