Four males arrested after hate crime in Blackwall Tunnel

Eggs and anti-Semitic abuse thrown at a Jewish motorist & his car in an apparent unprovoked attack

At approximately 2am this morning eggs were thrown towards Jewish motorist & his car in an apparent unprovoked attack in the Blackwall Tunnel. Anti-Semitic abuse was also hurled at the driver with the suspects allegedly shouting “F***ing Jews” and “Kill the Jews”.

The motorist was reported to be a couple who had their baby with them in the car.

Officers from Tower Hamlets Police stopped a vehicle and arrested its four male occupants shortly after the incident, Tower Hamlets MPS tweeted that it was an ongoing investigation.

This kind of behaviour in our community is totally unacceptable. Please report any hate crimes to the Police by calling 101. In an emergency please call 999.
