Mayor Biggs joins performance in remembrance of Altab Ali

Swadhinata Trust presented The Altab Ali Story at the Brady Arts Centre in Whitechapel on the 4th May, the anniversary of the death of Altab Ali who was murdered in a racist attack. The play tells the true and terrible story about that day nearly four decades ago and it subsequent impact.

After the performance that commemorated the death of Altab Ali in 1978 our Mayor joined in.

The Swadhinata Trust is a London based secular Bengali community group that works to promote Bengali history and heritage amongst young people.
