Three charged with Brenton Roper murder

Three men have been charged with the murder of Brenton Roper who died after being shot in Bow. This comes after there was four further arrests in the murder investigation.

The murder investigation was launched after the police were called to Eagling Close, E3 at approximately 4.30pm on Saturday, 13 May.

Brenton Roper, 41, was found suffering gunshot injuries, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination held on Tuesday, 16 May at Poplar Mortuary gave the cause of death as death as gunshot injuries.

Mohammed Shaid – 26, Monzur Ahmed – 26 and Foyzur Rahman – 27 appeared in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 27 June charged with murder.

All three were remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Thursday, 29 June.

A fourth man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender was released under investigation.

A 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of murder on Saturday, 13 May, they have since been released with no further action.
