Tower Hamlets visited the Len Salmon Stadium full of confidence after they beat Newham FC away last week. Bowers and Pitsea on the other hand had an ugly 1-0 win over Ilford FC in the same gameweek.
Tower Hamlets were hoping they could cause a surprise against a ‘fantastic Bowers’ who are 4th in the ESL.
Bowers took the lead only 4 minutes in to the game and less than 60 seconds later they doubled their lead to make it 2-0.
The first half ended 2-0 but there could have been more goals for the home side, the Tower Hamlets keeper did well to keep the ball out of his net.
It took the home side 3 minutes after the restart to get on the score sheet and scored a further 4 goals to make it 7-0.
Bowers would have kept a clean sheet but Ikenwe grabbed a consolation goal for Tower Hamlets which was described as scrappy.
Tower Hamlets now have a tough visit Clapton FC on 2nd April. Clapton thrashed Sporting Bengal 6-1 at Mile End stadium last week.
