East London Mosque had to be evacuated after they received a telephone threat.

The Mosque tweeted and said: “The Mosque received a telephone threat a short while ago. Buildings were evacuated and sweeps carried out by Police and Mosque staff.

“While we understand this incident to be a hoax, we still urge vigilance in our community.”

Abu Amaanah tweeted that everyone is fine and that the “all clear” has been given by police.

The hoax comes after a terror attack by Darren Osborne on people leaving a mosque last night in Finsbury Park that left one man dead and others seriously injured.

Solidarity vigil outside a Devon Road Mosque by the local community.

We advise all Tower Hamlets residents to remain vigilant and to look out for one another.
