East London Mosque evacuated after hoax telephone threat

East London Mosque had to be evacuated after they received a telephone threat.

The Mosque tweeted and said: “The Mosque received a telephone threat a short while ago. Buildings were evacuated and sweeps carried out by Police and Mosque staff.

Abu Amaanah tweeted that everyone is fine and that the “all clear” has been given by police.

The hoax comes after a terror attack by Darren Osborne on people leaving a mosque last night in Finsbury Park that left one man dead and others seriously injured.

We advise all Tower Hamlets residents to remain vigilant and to look out for one another.
