Victim named – Bow murder

Detectives investigating the murder of a man in Bow
have named the victim.

Police were called at around 23:20hrs on Sunday, 23 April to
reports of an injured man in Bow Common Lane, E3.

Officers attended and found the 54-year-old man suffering a
head injury and a stab wound. He was taken to hospital where
his condition is stable – not life-threatening.

Before going to hospital, the 54-year-old man indicated that
another man was seriously injured inside a flat in Bow Common
Lane.

Officers went into this address and found a 60-year-old man
suffering stab injuries. Officers administered first aid
until the arrival of the London Ambulance Service, but the
man was pronounced dead at the scene at 00:06hrs on Monday,
24 April.

Formal identification has now taken place and the deceased
has been named as 60-year-old Keith Sinclair, from Bow.

His next-of-kin have been informed.

A special post-mortem examination took place on Monday, 24
April at Poplar Mortuary and gave the cause of death as stab
wounds.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command, led by
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Jones, are investigating.

There have been no arrests at this stage and enquires
continue.
