1323 Properties in Tower Hamlets Owned By Offshore Haven Companies

In September 2015 Private Eye created a map of properties in England and Wales owned by offshore companies.

The map shows all land and property registered in England and Wales in the name of an offshore company between 2005 and July 2014. It uses data released following Freedom of Information requests from Private Eye and expert work by software engineer Anna Powell-Smith.

Unmask The Corrupt used the data to create an simple interactive map with the numbers broken down for London Boroughs.

Tower Hamlets comes 5th out of all the London Boroughs for ‘total number of property titles held by secrecy haven companies’ with 1323. Westminster comes 1st with 11457 properties by foreign companies.
