Man dies following stabbing in Limehouse

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a man who was stabbed in Limehouse.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service on the morning of Saturday, 6 November after reports of a fight on St Anne’s Row, E14.

Officers attended the location and discovered a 24-year-old man suffering a stab wound. He was taken to hospital where he died on the yesterday, Friday, 12 November.

The man’s next of kin have been informed and he has been named as Karalius Paulius, a Lithuanian national who lived near to the scene.

A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.

On the afternoon of Saturday, 13 November, a 38-year-old man was re-arrested on suspicion of murder. He has been taken into police custody. This man is one of five males previously arrested by detectives investigating the incident.

The four other males previously arrested in connection with this incident are no longer in police custody. Enquiries continue in relation to these four people.
